ISV Integrations

As part of the Custom ECM Solutions Practice, Blue Fish works with Independent Software Vendors (or ISVs) who are interested in integrating their products with EMC's Documentum product suite. These ISVs hire Blue Fish to architect the solution, design it, code it, and ultimately implement it for them.

Our ISV integrations are not the typical "consultingware" that many clients expect from system integrators. Because they will become a part of a software vendor's product offering - and more importantly, part of its intellectual property - they need to be developed to a higher standard than a traditional consulting solution. Our ISV clients turn to Blue Fish because they know that our software engineers come from strong software development backgrounds. In fact, our own products are held to the same stringent bar for which these ISVs strive, with Blue Fish's DIXI and Navigation Manager earning the official "Designed for EMC" certification.

The types of solutions we create for our ISV clients vary widely. Some companies want to use Documentum as a repository "under the covers" of their own solutions. Some want to interact with Documentum for a particular content service, such as document retention. Others must synchronize their own repositories with Documentum's, so that content can be kept for archiving or compliance purposes.
